Introduction to Katy Perry

The life of Katy Perry, famous pop and rock star. From writing songs, singing and posting it on YouTube. Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California in October 25th, 1984. When she was just only 15 she wrote songs performed songs and played the guitar.

Katy started taking singing lessons when she was only 9 years old and learned to play the guitar at age 13. Katy, also known as Katheryn Hudson, first started performing at her parents church, her mom and dad are pastors. Katy wasn't aloud to listen to any other music but Gospel music. She also wasn't aloud to watch MTV or VH1. Katy first heard a song off of a radio when she was at a sleep over and was inspired by Freddie Mercury.

Katy is known for her "over-the-top" fashions, quirky stage props, and her catchy songs. Katy has become a pop music sensation. A lot if these reasons are why Katy Perry is my favorite female singer. I've chosen to write a blog on Katy Perry because she is my favorite female singer. My intentions for this blog is to learn more about Katy Perry and to find out more on what happened with her marriage with Russell Brand.
